Four levels of Saxophone service are offered, Basic regulation, Full service, Complete overhaul and Accidental damage.
Repairs are carried out using premium deluxe double-skin pads, leather and cork. Higher quality and personal choice of pads can be ordered on spec.
What Have You Got?!
There are 4 common types of saxophones Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone and an additional 5 specialist Saxophones Sopranissimo, Sopranino, Bass, Suncontrabass and Contrabass.
1. Basic Regulation
Rebalancing the mechanism for improved instrument response. Recommended every 6 to 12 months.
2. Full Service
Clean body and key work. Replace and re-seat pads as necessary.
Check felts/cork. Springs are replaced as required re-oil and regulation.
3. Complete Overhaul
Clean body and key work. Replace all pads, cork/felts and replace springs as required. De-pinning of the mechanism and re-oiling includes a three-month warranty.
4. Accident Damage
The following repairs will require inspection before an estimate can be given.
- Excessive mechanism movement
- Specific pad replacement
- Spring replacement only
- Structural alterations
Estimates are free and a more accurate price will be given on inspection.
I offer a 10% discount to music students, schools and colleges and a “while-you-wait” service for long-distance customers and emergency repairs.
Collection and delivery of repairs can be arranged in the area of East Lothian and I provide a courier and postal service for those further afield.
